Tremont Street McDonald's robbery suspects due in court

BOSTON (WHDH) -Police caught two suspects who reportedly stole money and tied up employees at a McDonald's on Tremont Street in Boston.

Those two suspects were due to appear in Boston Municipal Court.

The robbery happened at the McDonald's across the street from Boston Common. Police said the suspects had shotguns and a pistol and tied up the employees.

A passerby reportedly noticed something going on and called police.

When police arrived, the suspects were leaving out the back door in the alley, and officers pulled their guns and arrested the men. No one was hurt.

"Very courageous obviously. They were armed, one ended up having a sawed-off shotgun and another had a pistol. So again, a lot of dedicated work," said Boston Police Commissioner William B. Evans.

Boston Police said this was similar to an incident that happened at the same McDonald's on Oct. 4.
