Exeter officials investigating students for nude pictures

A high school sex scandal is hitting the community of Exeter as naked pictures of students are reportedly being sold.

Several students are under investigation while the rest of the school system figures out how to deal with the problem.

"They just came up and asked me 'hey do you want to buy some nude photos of people in school?'  I said no because I know them and I don't want to see that,” Josh Dang, a student, said.

While Josh says he turned down the offer, other students say many paid for the pictures, which were shared through social media.

"I heard one kid make like over $1,000 or something,” Nick Willett, an Exeter student and football player, said.

Willett says many of the students involved are freshman football players,

"I'm a little disappointed the freshman team was out doing this, it made my skin crawl,” he said.

The school superintendent sent out a letter and automated phone message to parents Wednesday but only said that a social media incident is under investigation.

"I truly feel this is not right and you got to know there's a borderline and this crossing the borderline,” Ly Dang, a parent, said.

Local police say they are aware of the investigation but believe the school will handle the discipline.
